Vijay Shekhar Sharma is the founder and Chairman of One97 and PayTM, the leading mobile internet companies of India. PayTM has the maximum transaction volume of any internet company in India and has recently raised ~$0.5 Billion from Alibaba.
Anand is currently on the Accel Partners team that focuses on technology startups in consumer, healthcare and education sectors. He is responsible for investments such as Forus, Pristine and TaxiForSure (Acquired by Ola). Before joining Accel, Anand was with Flybridge Capital Partners inBoston, where he focused on early stage investments across a range of industries. He represented Flybridge as an observer on the boards of CHiL Semiconductor (acquired by International Rectifier), Digital Lumens, and Sciformix.Previously, Anand spent several years in key engineering and product management positions at Intel Corporation, working on cutting-edge microprocessor products. He also worked for Intel Capital, where he helped formulate the strategy for investments in the Terascale computing ecosystem.Outside of work, Anand enjoys cricket, squash, running, and playing the guitar. Anand holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an MSin Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and a BE in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Madras.
