Ravi Kumar is the Chief Executive Officer of The American India Foundation (AIF).
Ravi is a senior and seasoned professional with an illustrious corporate background having worked in the Banking sector (State Bank of India, Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank) for 33 years in India, UK, Eastern Europe and USA.
He did his B.Sc. in Madras University and his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1984-86). He is based in New York where he lives with his wife and two sons.
Founded in 2001 at the initiative of President Bill Clinton, AIF has impacted the lives of more than 1.9 million of India’s poor and aims to reach 5 million by 2018. AIF is committed to catalyzing social and economic change in India through high impact interventions in education, livelihoods, public health and leadership development programs.
