Alan Sage
Masters in City Planning 2019
Alan Sage is currently a Master in City Planning student at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning. At MIT, Alan is conducting research on applying cutting-edge econometric techniques towards understanding real estate price dynamics in Indian metros. Prior to coming to MIT, he spent 3 years working on real estate impact investing at the Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, where he underwrote over $1bn in affordable and mixed-income housing transactions across the United States. Prior to Goldman, he worked at Enterprise Community Partners, where he helped to develop new financing mechanisms for energy-efficient retrofits in affordable housing properties. Alan holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in Ethics, Politics & Economics with a concentration in urban studies. He is a proficient French and Hindi speaker and enjoys listening to Radio Mirchi in his spare time.
